Visit from the Delegation of Uzbekistan Navoi State Mining and Technology University to Our University

A delegation from Uzbekistan Navoi State Mining and Technology University paid a two-day visit to our university to engage in bilateral discussions and explore potential avenues for collaboration. The delegation, led by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Nazarov Jamoliddin, included both academics and students.

On the first day of the visit, Thursday, May 8, 2025, the delegation met with our University’s Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Aydın Him, in his office for an exchange of views. Following this meeting, the delegation visited our Faculties of Engineering, Agriculture, and Communication, where they received information about the faculties’ activities and conducted on-site observations. On the same day, they also visited the Scientific, Industrial and Technological Application and Research Center (BETUM) and the Nuclear Radiation Detectors Application and Research Center (NURDAM), where they were briefed by officials on the centers’ operations.

On the second day, Friday, May 9, 2025, the Uzbek delegation visited our Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences to learn about its academic structure and educational programs. In the afternoon, they visited the Faculty of Tourism to evaluate potential cooperation opportunities in the field of tourism. Later in the day, the delegation toured our University Library and received information about its facilities and resources.

The delegation also visited our Erasmus Office, where discussions were held regarding Erasmus+ bilateral agreements and international cooperation agreements. During the visit, potential future collaboration opportunities between the two institutions were discussed in detail. The productive discussions are expected to contribute positively to institutional partnerships.

Expressing his pleasure in hosting the delegation, our University’s Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Aydın Him thanked the representatives of Uzbekistan Navoi State Mining and Technology University for their kind visit and interest in collaboration. The visit was considered an important step in identifying potential areas of cooperation and strengthening relations between the two universities.
