Every step has a lot of stories,,
Hi I'm Eyas ABU MOUSA Electronics Engineering student from Jordan 🇯🇴
I'm one of the Erasmus students around our lovely planet 🌍
My cultural exchange took its place in Turkey, specifically in Bolu ,
Studying abroad gave me an experience of a life time. It is an excellent opportunity to come into close contact with a distinct culture in my day-to-day life and return home with plenty of cherished memory. This experience made me more mature, I increased my confidence and self-esteem, and ultimately make me a more “well-rounded person”. Furthermore, I will “have a greater perspective of the world around me to appreciate societal differences”.
Being in a new place, get to know people who have different way of living, and becoming familiar with new cultural and urban environment. Addition to, I had the opportunities to confront the realities of people and cultures coming together around tourism.
Being immersed in an entirely new cultural setting is scary at first, but it is also exciting. It is an opportunity to discover new strengths and abilities, conquer new challenges, and solve new problems.
Even under the influence of the global pandemic and the restrictions it imposed on us, it was an invaluable experience. Despite that I was able to visit many beautiful places in Turkey like Ankara,Istanbul,Cappadocia,Kayseri,Alanya,Antalya,Izmir and the most beautiful place i have ever seen,Marmaris.
I read a lot about Turkey historically, culturally and even literature, but the lines and letters did not communicate what this experience has brought me in my social, familial, and interactive activities with different layers of Turkish society.
A special thanks also goes to the Erasmus staff and Erasmus Student Network who have taken care that we will have a good experience, accommodation and easy access to our studies.
And to Turkey i will love u until the Dead Sea becomes alive again.
